| IDC: IBM No 1 in India EDS and UNIX Server Market in Q1 2009 |

IDC's Asia/Pacific Enterprise Disk Storage Tracker, Q1 2009 June 2009 release says that IBM has emerged as the leader in both the India External Disk Storage Market and also the India non-x86 UNIX Server market, in terms of Factory Revenue in Q1 2009. IBM attained this with a 33.1 and 39.2 percent respectively as the share in terms of factory revenue, thereby registering a gain of 18 points in the External Storage category and 9 points in the Server category in terms of market share on a year-on-year basis. According to company sources, businesses around the world are moving to a more dynamic infrastructure with IBM Power Systems and System Z (Mainframes) and IBM Storage. Commenting on this, Mukul Mathur, Director, Systems and Technology Group, IBM India/South Asia, said, "Clients today are increasingly looking at forging a long term relationship with IBM to derive true value from their IT investments.
